Lungu to unleash his BA’64 restoration deception strategy on the eve of Zambia’s independence—As the Barotse are called upon to rally behind the BNC 2012 Resolutions

by BNFA Publicity Wing

President Lungu of Zambia is to unleash his deceptive strategy on restoring the Barotseland Agreement 1964 (BA'64) as part of his independence eve statement to tomorrow October 23, 2015. The statement will be followed by a series of attacks on the Barotse National Freedom Alliance (BNFA) aimed discrediting the work of the organization and its leadership in all Zambia’s print and mass media. BNFA is an umbrella civil society organization that was formed to coordinate efforts of implementing the Barotse National Council Resolutions of March 27, 2012, which declared self-determination and self-rule following the Zambia’s regime’s unilateral abrogation of the BA’64 and futile attempts to restore the unitary treaty over a period of 47 years. The onslaught is aimed at reversing the People of Barotseland’s match to self-determination and self-rule as dictated by their BNC Resolutions. The BNFA leadership calls on the people of Barotseland not to be deterred by this onslaught but rally behind their BNC Resolutions of March 2012 and stand ready to participate in the upcoming activities. There is no going back. It is time to tell Lungu and his embattled agents to get out of Barotseland. He no longer has a locus standi to interfere in Barotseland affairs. The time for continued deception is over.
