"His son and successor, Litia, a baptised Christian, had not been summoned from Sesheke, where he and his young wife were living. A messenger was dispatched without delay upon Lewanika's death and reached Sesheke in the record time of 5 days; but Litia could not, of course, be present at his father's funeral."
