BNFA Mongu and Kaoma Regions—Strongly condemns detention of Sinyinda

Joint Press Release

As Barotse National Freedom Alliance (BNFA) regional representatives of Mongu and Kaoma, we are disgusted by the continued acts of harassment against the leader of the BNFA, former Prime Minister of Baroseland and former Member of Parliament for Sinanga Central, Hon. Clement Wainyae Sinyinda. This acts of harassment and arrests against innocent people are perpetrated by the Lungu regime working jointly with his agents in the Barotseland—the embattled Barotse Royal Establish—through one very known Induna in order to humiliate, intimidate and cause maximum mental stress on the leader of the BNFA and its entire leadership.   We strongly condemn these continued acts of harassment and call on the international community to put pressure on the Zambian regime to stop it with immediate effect. We know that the BRE is allowing itself to be used as a tool of oppression against its own people by the Zambian regime. We are saying enough-is-enough. We further call on the people of Barotseland to remain steady fast and rally behind your Barotse National Council Resolutions of March 27, 2012 and the BNFA leadership. Litunga Ni Lyetu.
