Africa Freedom Day—Not for the people of Barotseland as the international community turn a blind eye

May 25 is Africa Freedom Day but not for the people of Barotseland because the oppressive state of Zambia continue denying them their basic human rights—freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of association and right to employment while several of their people are incarcerated in Zambian jails as the international community turn a blind eye. Several people of Barotseland descent are denied jobs while others have been fired or retired in national interest.   I find these people to be funny, while Barotseland has a right to self-determination, which the Bembas and Nyanjas are denying them, they continue celebrating with them. The people Barotseland need to wake to the call for fighting for their freedom so that in future they can also be part and parcel of celebrating African Freedom Day. For now they have nothing to celebrate.
