by BNFA Publicity Wing

On Tuesday May 30, 2017, the Zambia police in Limulunga nabbed yet again a Barotseland national Kakulekelo Liswaniso at his home for unexplained reasons. The unfortunate victim of police brutality and denial of basic human rights against the people of Barotseland spent 2 days in an unknown chemical contaminated Limulunga police cell before he was moved to Mongu central police cell. By 17:00 hours on Thursday June 1, 2017, relatives of the victim where still camped at the police station in an effort to establish the reason of incarcerating him. We urge all the Barotse not to be cowed but stand-up against encroachment of their human rights by an illegitimate Zambia regime because nobody else would. We also urge them to support the victims of police harassment. We demand immediate stoppage of this harassment and release of Liswaniso.
