The BNFA  comprises of independent civil organizations–brought and  cemented together  by their common purpose and resolve to secure  the total liberation of Barotseland. The current membership include:

• the Barotse Freedom Movement;
• Linyungandambo;
• the Movement for the Restoration of Barotseland;
• the Barotse National Youth League;
• the Barotseland National Youth League; and
• the Barotse Imilemas.

Membership is voluntary and members are not required to disband their organizations.
